Problems in Ancient Rome

A problem in Ancient Rome is that Gladiators distracted us because of all the violence. People liked seeing people getting hurt and Fight until they died because it entertained them. Now people watch wrestling for the hard hits and slams. I think that the gladiators are to blame. Another problem in Ancient Rome is that their were terrorist attacks, the attacks were made by nomadic tribes. Inflation was another problem in Rome it also happened in the U.S. Those were the problems in Ancient Rome.

The Start Of The Hellenistic Culture

How Did Hellenistic Culture Start?

Hellenistic started when Alexander the Great started conquering all their cultures and their land which created Hellenistic Culture. The lands he conquered were Persia, Egypt, and all the lands in India. Before Alexander the Great Phillip II was in control but he was killed by his guards, then his son, Alexander, came and took over.

Philosophers

There are great philosophers like, Socrates he encouraged his students to examine their belief. Another great philosopher is Plato. He’s from Athens, he grew up in a rich family, he’s not only a great philosopher he’s a good poet also. Aristotle is another great philosopher. He opened his own school. He once said “He who studies how things originated… will achieve the clearest view of them.”

Athens vs. Sparta

Athens and Sparta believe in two different things one, Sparta believes more in the Military and not education like Athens. They both believe in two different religions also. Sparta had several branches, an assembly, which was composed of all Spartan citizens, elected officials and voted on major issues. Spartans had the most powerful army in Greece. Earlier in Athens, most positions in public office were unpaid.
I would rather go to Sparta because I would feel protected if a war starts. Randy E. Brea
